There are tools to check Fake PR like seologs.com/pr-check/pagerank.html Also, do check the number of back links for that domain.
Ok, I just wasn't sure if it was the same for a domain without a site. I was checking for dropped domains.
Domains do not have Pagerank values; web page's are what get a Pagerank value. You would need to have an index.html\php file in the top level directory to see the top level web page's Pagerank value.
Agree with Angilina. The only working tool out there for that is http://www.seologs.com/pr-check/pagerank.html
Best way to check it is to type domain name into google, and if there is not first result same as domain name, then it's fake or simply badly indexed. In shortly, not good. Also there is command:info:domain.com
Correct. Because a domain name is just the hostname to an IP address. The actual web pages\documents are what get the Pagerank value.
thanks this is the sort of answer i was looking for. some of you other guys are talking about sites not domains.
