Fake Pagerank Domain

I just bought expired domains, and... for some accident, I just realize that checkpageranking.com have some mistake and errors. because the domain name is nice with good pagerank and really aged.. so I bought it, and then after the domain finalize, I just realize that the pagerank is fake..

what I want to ask here is, is it possible to make the pagerank valid? I really want to know if there is a way to make the pagerank valid.

To get real page rank you need inlinks from high PR pages.

It's possible the domain you bought did have real PR originally but it was lost when the domain was transferred. There is no guarantee the PR will stick after a sale, especially if the site is gone and replaced by a parking page.

If you have bought a domain with a fake pagerank I don't know how you would make it valid unless you build the site into an authority site. Pagerank can be faked by using a code to redirect the Googlebot to a high pagerank site. But I have read where Google has caught onto this and stopped it.

There are many ways to check PR to see if it is valid before you buy it. I have managed to buy several PR1 and PR2 domains and kept the ranking, but it does not always work.

To detect fake Pagerank, type in the website (www.fakepagerank...) into Google and look at the cache. Instead of showing the cache of the fake Pagerank site it will show the website with the real Pagerank.

no not that, its about cloacking and redirecting googlebot, but who controls it? I confuse where to control the googlebot without having any code??

yea sometime it depends on the url you input. if you dont include http://www sometimes, it will say its fake even though it is valid.

checkpageranking.com tool is not working properly

    Check in

    1) Google Tolbar
    2) Info: Domainname.com (No space)

If it is showing the Rank in Google Toolbar and No Redirect in Info check then its VALID..

Don Check in 3rd Party Tools..

    Anyway Digpagerank.com is working fine!!

if you bought it with fake pagerank, the only way to make it valid is by building up the links again. After the next pr update it will prob go back down until you rebuild the links that were lost.

there is some error with that pagerank checker, I think its not the best way for that.

yup it is, if domain = domain its valid right?

are you sure with that? because the googlebot is redirected, but I don't know where to set it

I believe its not gonna finish the problem, the problem is that the googlebot is redirected to the other site, that what makes the PR is not valid, what I want to do is set the googlebot so they are not redirected.

I have bought tens of domains with PR 1-5...
After purchasing, most of the domains PR jump up and down several times.
Some of the domains fell from PR5 to 4 and maintain
Some of the domains fell from 4 to 0
Some of the domains fell from PR3 to PR1 or 2, then up again...
But I still have 3 domains which are still PR4, several domains with PR1-3..
Thinking of selling the textlinks but afraid of being penalized by google :)

Besides fake PR tools you can also use your head.
Does the domain have many quality in-links? If so maybe the PR is real.
Does the domain have zero or just a few low quality inlinks? If so it is probably fake PR.
No domain will have PR without quality inlinks.

I prefer using digpagerank and google info: command to check it.

well what if google say that its valid? I still trust pagerank tool to check it and google info: command to check its valid or not, I don't care much about inlinks.

Very simple to detect Fake PR

    Type in
info: domain A in google search
If result is Domain A Valid
If result is Domain B FAKE(301/302 redirect to another PR site)
If No result not cached by Google

then view PR with you google toolbar

Why some PR checkers have different PR (some PR3 Some PR0 n/a)

It depends on their Data Center IP they use(some off or down)
use to redirect to DC IP to check PR
So The most reliable method is google toolbar(no need to redirect)

    Regards
