I'll have no other than a real tree. I love christmas!
I love the smell of pine in my house, picking it out. For sure, real one!

fake, it's less of a hassle. I do miss the smell though...which is why I bought a pine scented candle.

I'd choose a real one almost any year, this year however we've talked about getting a fake one, more compatible with a year old kid than a real one :)

Fake ones almost always look to perfect, real ones almost always look too imperfect, but I prefer imperfection over the CG look of some fake trees.

Are you kidding, the tree gets set up on the night before chrismas, not before that

Yeah, we've been setting it up earlier some years, but not this early.

Really??? Not until the night before Xmas.. That seems awfully late to me, what's the point in setting it up? Or do you leave it up for a while afterward?

I usually set up the week after Thanksgiving and take down New Years Day. As do most of my friends and family.

As If.. LOL Perhaps your screenname should be "Grinch" .. LOL

HaHa.. That's even more sad than the Charlie Brown Xmas tree.. lol j/k. :)

Is there any real evidence to show fake trees are really helping the environment all that much?

We had a real tree last year but it was lot of fuss and cleaning, and now we have nice simple 5ft fake tree, it was cheap and we can use it for a good few years, I hope. It looks just fine providing you don't get right up close to it!

We've got the fake one because my wife fears the real ones will self ignite.. Kinda takes the fun out of getting one, of the lack of pine smell is a bit bothersome, but all in all, the fake ones look pretty damn real now-a-days, and we save some serious cash (as much as $100 or more) not buying a real one which means more money to spend on Christmas itself.

Fake one for me. I got an elevator tree on sale last year from Walmart for $14.97 on sale after season!!! :D It's pretty cool although I took off the ribbon and it looks better. I also have a 6.5 ft. fake tree in my florida room.

Real trees are nicer but the needles start falling off straight away even if you use the spray that is supposed to prevent it.
