    Hello

Today, I have received an email with Title "Critical Windows Update" from email address "alloy8@microsoft.org"

    & Text there is

& a link on BOLD text is redirecting link & link is http://king.cd/8T9j

I believe there is something phishing & will be harmful for us.

1 thing that I couldn't understand, the email address address on which I received this email is only shared with Microsoft. Are hackers/leechers etc getting email from Microsoft DB ????

Anyway, Beware of these types of email.

    Regards

I had the same emails about 10 or so in the last day. I didn't even bother opening them, they went straight to the trash.

This guy might not even own that e-mail address, it's really easy to send anonymous e-mails. Eg, through PHP.

Right, you can send an email from any mail you want, but usually they go to junk in hotmail.

For example, I send my messages from and I'm to lazy to create the mail yet. So if someone replies will just get an error message. =)

You can mark the emails as phishing scam, however I have done this with all my junk emails but they just keep coming :/
I guess just ignore them, I get many from people saying, "$50 MILION IN UR BANK ACOUT" or something else asking for my bank details, just don't respond to them or click any link.

Microsoft can't email everyone every time there is an update, that's what the update program embedded in all windows os is for.

It is a phishing email, but as the OP mentioned it's going to email addresses that are only shared with Microsoft.... so someone has an in, or an MS scraper......

We can't stop spammers. Even if we block their domain or IPs , they switch to other domain and do their nasty things. Just ignore the mail and if you receive any spam mail in inbox, report it as spam.

Note: Don't ever click on the links in spam mail. Just one click is enough to compromise your PC.:D

Just marked them as spam so that it won't come directly into your inbox. That's what in doing. those links they are sending may contain virus and trojans.
