use the alexa redirect but theres no real gain from having a better alexa ranking only sometimes it enables your website to qualify for certain programs

You'd think that by now the ad network would be onto this method
of inflating Alexa rank an would want a bit more proof that these site are
actually receiving hi traffic before upping there rate to w/masters
if it works and it does what it's spose to do then the moral issue is something that you and only you will have to deal with. after all you've paid for it .

There are many ways and many things to cheat.
If you look very closely when researching any of your competition thats doing well..you'll see they use a mass combination of cheats.

I've watched sites jump from PR0's to PR6's and I've watched Alexa ranks go from BFE.. to top percents.
Yet some of us click along trying to do it fair , to make a legit site that wont get banned, etc.

One thing that is highly annoying is the fact that many of the search engines and optmization related sites etc all talk about the plethora of things you 'shouldn't do!' about how sites that do those things will get banned, how they'll be penalized, how they'll be de-indexed etc on and on..
But in reality, the enforcement of those cheats is less than 1% compared to the 99% that get away with it.

webmasters and SEOs that run legit sites, how long do they have to wait until all those anti-cheat measures take place? I could give a handful of competitor sites that are doing better at the current time from cheats. I check them every day and some of them dont even seem to try to hide it as some of the cheats are so blatantly displayed.

It would be great if actual work and content made a site what it is. But its still pretty much the wild west on the Internet and the cheaters are winning. The cheaters are making the money.. so if they are rewarded for cheating, they're going to continue cheating and pursue new inventive ways to cheat.

Just think, right now many legit webmasters are out there in the world working on their sites, they're brainstorming new content ideas, writing articles, researching relevant sites to appeal to, in order to get links etc. BUT, in less time than any of those tasks are even remotely accomplished, a team of cheats with Alexa traffic rankers, a network of high PR directory and other sites that will link them all in and around, cheat SEO teams that will 'game' the popular voting sites, ..and so when the legit webmasters check their rank and stats and SERPS, they'll all see the cheaters in the top 1 through 10 positions . lol

A real topic should be = should legit SEO and webmasters persist and wait on the hope that the promises to crack down on cheaters eventually takes place? - or - should they be saying = "if you cant beat 'em, join 'em"

Have you ever achieved a top 5 SERP ranking through weeks or months of hard work focusing on a keyword - only to see the cheat teams notice it, and obliterate it by pumping their position back up after they drop some cheat tactics heavily in that area, keyword, traffic, SEO cheat team 'affiliates' etc ?

If cheaters get ahead, and if only a small margin of those cheaters are penalized or de-indexed ..
Then the risk is low and the potential gain is high - that's why so many are cheating.
Its a competition where the legit peoples are washing on an old washboard and the cheater teams have the ACME wash-0-matics on high speed, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Perhaps the underlying 'moral' to the story is, we're supposed to watch what is successful..and then quietly join in?

Makes you think of the dust bowl and over farming. If cheaters are successfully cheating - then they probably dont want anybody else to cheat. Perhaps they've reached a perfect balance where the cheaters are the right amount and they need others to pursue success according to the rules? Maybe everything is based around cheating in some way, shape or form.. but in order to give it a balance , so that the dust bowl over farming doesnt occur.. is to promote non-cheating? Ask any SEO team (that you have come across their work and know them to cheat ) ..ask them "do you cheat?" and they'll quickly respond = "OH no!~ "
they all have some BS method to try to explain it instead, aka= "we have a patented method for achieving..."
or "Our state of the art services " or th easiest one = "Our secret method"

Search engines will just have to decide if they want SEO companies to have mass growth over the next 5 to 10 years , to the point that they basically devour up the search engines. A business model that hires millions of 'work at home' SEO 'subcontractors' - boasts of over 20 million accounts on all popular sites, voting sites ,video sites etc - and boasts of having a network of over 10 million websites that are ranked PR 5 and above. You pay them top dollar that is calculated by how competitive the key word is that you want to rank for. They immediately have their SEO 'subcontractors' write up millions of articles with anchor text links and put them within those 10 million high PR sites, at the same time they release over 200 articles to the online , offline AP Press. On all of those pages at the bottom they offer some irrelevant 'Free' script, or content blurb.
Then, the millions of 'subcontractors' each having a list of the sites , will go through them to generate the traffic rankings. <click....click....click..> as they get paid to surf the SEO network (and any of the new sites added to the list)

In the end, the legit webmasters and SEO sites were slowly progressing - but they suddenly get knocked WAY back because some website that is only 2 yrs old and spent 1 yr as a diretcory while getting out of the sandbox - but now, it suddenly has a PR 6 and its Alexa ranking is in top numbers, and the SERPS are filled with their pages to the point that if they type "BURP LOL" on any of their new pages , even those will rank at least a PR 3

Will the future of the Internet be with search engines, or with SEO 'secret method' Mega -virtual corporations?

There are programs out there that use Proxies to change the IP address and generate traffic to your site therefore fooling Alexa.

DO you really want to do this though? It is sooo not the way to make a website successful.
