it wouldnt because, you are giving visits not unique visits and so it would be same or sometimes less
Fake traffic doesn't usually help, except in one case: big companies sometimes use fake traffic before launching a site to see if their server can handle the load.
there are many ways to improve alexa ranking, but you can't continue with your methods for ever, and once you stop, your alexa ranking will disappear..
Script that lies and pretends everyone that visits has the alexa toolbar... That's kind of interesting. Do the alexa people hate those scripts, or do they actually like them since they add to the statistics - without really cheating?
Those posting that this is "cheating" and "immoral" or "unethical" need a reality check! To be clear, I don't advocate scams, fraud or anything of that nature. I don't EVER use fake traffic either - no need to, as Alexa is meaningless anyway. But it's a little dramatic to jump to some of these conclusions. After all, who wrote this online rule book of ethics for online activity? I've seen even the best corporations use black hat SEO tacticts. The whole process of even White Hat SEO isn't "authentic" or entirely honest. The fact is, it's YOUR website. It's not illegal to send fake hits to YOUR website. If you have no business associate, you're not "cheating" or violating a pre-existing agreement with Alexa. If they want to kill your sites ranking as a result, that's another question - and Alexa is entitled to do it. It's fake to use fake traffic, absolutely. It tricks alexa, absolutely. But alexa is a corporation, there's no pre-existing obligation to play by their rules. You haven't ever made a link exchange, just for the intended boost in page rank? Was that honest or authentic? In my opinion, much of SEO - placing this text here and that there, is intended to gain advantages with the search engines. A LOT of sites with top page rank didn't just get there with content. If a search engine is all about content, isn't this cheating? Of course, unique methods must be developed to rank pages... I can see getting upset if someone's defrauding Adsense, click fraud, incentivized traffic fraud etc. etc. But sending fake traffic to your own site to boost Alexa rank?
So your saying its ok to fake an alexa traffic rank in order to gain from it. For example selling links on your site ? Getting a higher traffic rank to get a higher price for your site when you sell it ? Ultimately its people's personal opinions. But in my mind to lie about a figure in order to make money is cheating. If people want to cheat fair enough, but to try and justify cheating as ok because Alexa is a corporation is wrong, its not Alexa that is being cheated its the people paying extra for a link or paying extra for a site because the owner has faked the traffic ranking. There is no need to send traffic to your site to increase Alexa rank unless you are intending to profit from that higher rank. Why would you need a high rank if you was not selling or gaining from it ?
if you are that desperate, download clicking agent + a huge proxy list and ur good to go u dont have to pay for free hits
I'm going to sound like everyone else, but why would you want to "trick" alexa? Spend your time trying to get real traffic instead... Do SEO, link building, and networking... Best of luck
Sigggggh.... Proxied fake hits will fool Alexa for sure. But answer me this, who cares? Are you more concerned with high Alexa rank or converting sales or generating revenue on your site? I have ran very successful sites with piss poor Alexa rating but generate cash and are extremely valuable. Stop paying attention to Alexa because it holds zero value to a surfer. Ask yourself if you ever bought from a site or stayed ona site because it had a low alexa rating???? I can take a brand new domain and have it within 50K in about 14 days using fake proxy hits and such. I would much rather sit in the 3M range and have it convert sales for 14 days.
Alexa rank. Why bother increasing your rank on alexa when you can use your fake hit generators on rankings that matters more... like pR.
it will work if you load few pages with each unique IP/Proxy address. and clear cookies etc. (with Alexa toolbar installed) but i don't recommend doing that. thanks.
With high ALexa there are chances for getting Direct Advertisements claiming that the website is having high traffic!
