Never.. Because Alexa counts only unique visitors for the sites. So if you are changing your IP with every hit (Thats not possible) only this can be considered otherwise 10000 hits from same IP = only 1 unique visitor for Alexa.
you can buy traffic from a paid to surf program where its unique visitors with alexa toolbar and that will up it.
I beg to differ , Fake hits generator may work . According to a friend And i quote " I used #$@%@ hits generator and in 1 week my alexa rank went from x,xxx, xxx to xxx,xx " He also showed me the stats thats why i believed him. kavinpparker : Hits generator do change the ip for every click , so you need to have a huge i mean HUGE list for your site to get stats as above. So you may ask am i in favor of this , well if you want to get banned from adsense and others sure ill use it . But i dont wanna get banned so, DONT USE IT. It may increase your alexa to some limit , but youll have to use it daily and also get banned from adsense and party Hope you understand and i dont SUGGEST you doing this. Ace.
Why would you want to fake hits anyway. No one in their right mind would advertise or spend money on a site based solely on an alexa rank. It would be obvious to anyone that a site with a high alexa rank and no serp's placement was faking traffic. Also non of the major contextual companies Yahoo, Google, Oxado are stupid, they would easily notice fake hits. After all a new site getting 10000's hits on a daily basis, doesn't happen naturally.
Faking traffic is one of them things that lots of people try to do for some reason. If you fake traffic to get a financial gain you are actually no different to a scammer, so morally its a wrong thing to do. There is no reason to fake traffic unless you want to mislead others.
There's actually a website out there that "specializes" in this sort of thing... It's not fake traffic - rather, they send tons of users to your website, about 1/5 of which have the Alexa toolbar installed. My website rank is actually now in the x,xxx range. It's nice Here's a link (not an affiliate link or anything like that, just a link to their advertising page) http://tinyurl.com/3ypbra
Fake hits generator will increase your Alexa. Because these hit generators use different proxies to generate hits to your site! SO, Unique hits obviously increase Alexa! If anyone is searching for free fake hits generator, Search for UHits.
Have done it with plenty of success, but you have to know what the point is...and I hope you have a huge proxy list if you want to make it work. I've done it in the past simply to get a better CPM from certain advertisers. In NO way have I used it to fake hits to CPM ads, I mean I have used it to inflate my traffic stats and get a slightly better rate BEFORE placing the ads. But...there is a better way, search for "alexa rank booster script"...basically it's just a script you place in your header to make it think everyone that visits your site has the alexa toolbar installed. Than just buy some junk traffic to throw at it. At least then your traffic is real.
Hits generator's DO work. Why do I say that? My server logs say a site I once started with a homepage and never did anything else with it, full of broken links, utter crap, really only gets ~6 unique visitors a day on average but has an alexa ranking of ~800,000. I used a 'hit generator' for an hour or so for a couple of days, just to see if this was really true - hit generators DO increase your Alexa rank. No doubt about it.
It still comes down to the fact that by faking your Alexa ranking in order to gain something you are cheating. Hit generators have always worked with Alexa and will do because of the way Alexa works, just because it works does not mean its right. Cheating is cheating, simple as.
There are plenty of people that buy advertising solely on Alexa rank. There are also several ad networks that won't even accept your site unless it ranks well with Alexa, text-link-ads being one. If you look at ad networks like Adbrite, Adengage, and other second-tier networks, Alexa rank is always listed. There is significant financial incentive to rank well with Alexa and it's also very easy to cheat Alexa. I figure the more people who do, the sooner Alexa becomes totally irrelevant, and that's a good thing. Alexa is meaningless except to the PPC industry and those that don't know any better.
Yes, it's cheating, but that isn't what the question was that was asked. Some replied saying "no, you can't fake alexa traffic." That's 100% wrong. That kind of thinking causes people to lose money by giving any credence to an Alexa rank. If people don't realize that Alexa can be faked and very EASILY, people will assume that Alexa ranks are genuine when they aren't. The question of "right" or "wrong" is for another topic.
Fake hit generators will give you an alexa boost as they use different IP addresses to visit the site - but I see no valid reason for it as nobody places any credence on alexa rank anyways!
