received this message today: email title: [affiliate = none] YOUR FAKE CLICK BANK LINKS from: Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2009 2:40 PM Sender details: Name: Warning E-mail: IP address: 213.22.79.98 browser: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; InfoPath.1) "I am just letting you know that we have found IRREGULARITIES with your clickbank links. We have a large database and intend reporting you to our affiliates to BLOCK YOU ! First I am writing to give you the chance to REPAIR them if it is a genuine error as each time it states AFFILITATE = NONE Follow this Click Here!" lol, ? there wasn't even a hyper link for "Click Here!" what do you think this person (if a person at all) had to benefit from sending me this see-through email through my sales page contact form?
u sure there were no images in the letter? there were some windows vulnerabilities that allowed to take control of computer just by displaying an image.
could be cookie stuffing imo. hidden in 1pixel images. you dont see them. check the html of the message.
I searched the HTML, and no images. It is possibly an attempted cookie stuff, i did get 2 emails from the same IP and the message was only slightly varied. Next time, I won't open the email, just to be safe. What do you think are some possible motives though? looking for my clickbank publisher sign on info? But what good would that really be?
I've got that a couple of times. I didn't even bother to read them as soon as I saw the "subject line" (similar to the one you received). Deleted instantly. Yes, possibly cookie stuffing. But who care. Just delete same way as you delete those PayPal phishing emails.
