What do you mean by fake clicking? Do you mean someone clicking on ads who has no real intention of purchasing the product and only doing it to generate revenue for the site?

I have a carpet cleaning company and I use Adwords and often wondered myself. Occasionally when I look at my account there are sometimes credits. I'm thinking that Google hase something in place to detect excessive clicks from one user on your ads.

Google tries to refund you the money you spent on fake clicks back to your account. This is the best they can do.
No one can tell you the exact algorithm they use to filter real clicks and fake clicks. you get refunds back to your account occationally. It takes upto 2 months since the date of click for the refund to reach back to your account.

Well it's hard to actually do too much about it to be honest. If your suspicious then contact Google and they might be able to do something about it, probably refunding the money spent on that ad.

I wouldn't worry about that. Fake clicks will be deducted from your spending. There is a certain criteria that needs to be met for a click to be valid. If someone just randomly clicks on your ad though it may appear that those clicks are counted, at the end they will be paid back to you.

For the most part, Google has mechanisms in place to detect fraudulent clicks.

In google analytics, see clicks from google cpc, then click on the same then from just above it using drop down menu find keywords, city etc fro. Their you can come to know the % of new visits, if they are less then you can mail to google reporting the same...Rest you can set frequency capping to above invalid clicks on your ads .

How to Check click fraud? some points you must analyze
    • Abnormal peaks in traffic
    • Lot of clicks from the same IP
    • Clicks from Non-targeting Areas
    • No increase conversion rates
    • High bounce rates
This are basic points to identify you click fraud. After you recognize, send a report Google Adwords, If Search Engine have already recognized the same performance then search engine credited your account for fraud clicks.
