Hi there. How's everyone doing? [just being polite] So I'd like to go over my plan(s) and you correct me where I falter. I. Website So I thought I'd start a website in a very high cpc market, build it up, then put adsense on the website after it got to the 1st / 2nd page. [naive I know huh] a. Marketing the website 1. social bookmarking sites: I social bookmarked every page of the site 2. blog: I thought I should make a blog and talk about on point topics and always link back to the website. [I became increasingly more sophisticated with those links and actually formatted them into keywords instead of just links] Unfortunately, in an effort to make the blog more popular I veered off course and stopped making very boring stale, on point content, and made high traffic blog posts. [which led me to discover you can make a blog... just .... for a blog ... which can make you money] 3. create backlinks: I have a free trial version of market samuraii, which has an entire section on doing backlinks, including .gov and .edu links on the specified keyword. I try to post on topic manual comments on blogs related to the keyword. I tried link exchange [but found the sites I was linking to were in no shape form or fashion related to my webiste; they had a lower ranking than my page to begin with; I was drowning in a sea of other links; some didn't even link back] So I erased them all. Creating excellent content, people backlinked to my blog and site anyway. Without any effort on my part. I answered yahoo.answers on my keywords and linked back to my page. Google answers was taken down . [am i missing anything else in backlinks?] 4. I have shunned doing an adwords campaign myself, for my website, in an effort to make sure I learn how to do all of this free because: 5. Do it all free so I can repeat this process 100 times and build a real risidual income from 100 websites with adsense. This process however is a huge very steep, very arduous learning curve. I am convinced I can do this once I understand everything. However, I keep reading posts like: research a keyword with no more than 25,000 in sites, bad competition, create a landing page, sign up for click bank, get and adwords campaign and you'll make $100 a day in 2 days after social bookmarking and backlinking the landing page. I'm like, is it really that easy? II. Blog A. I can monetize a blog? 1. here i'm clueless 2. i guess since my blog isn't concentrated on one thing, I get no subscribers to my feed, nor comments that aren't spam, nor buyers for crap I throw up on posts. 3. I have gotten some huge readership on certain posts I made, by researching the hop topic of the day. Where the website is in a high compete area, although in 3 months I have beaten out quite a lot of other websites, that have been around for years, the blog I'm completely baffled about. The website topic is very concentrated and I know my... stuff about it. The blog... should i go back to being boring and point back to the website and just use it as a tool for the website. Maybe create 100 different blogs concentrating on specific keywords? I know this is a lot to ask. Any and all advice is accepted.
