http://www.fairtax.org/ The IRS and the whole tax system in the U.S. is a huge beauracratic nightmare out of control. The Fair Tax is designed to create a more transparent tax system. I support it and i hope others do as well.

    Tax his land,
    Tax his bed,
Tax the tableat which he's fed.
    Tax his tractor,
    Tax his mule,
    Teach him taxesare the rule.
    Tax his cow,
    Tax his goat,
    Tax his pants,
    Tax his coat.
    Tax his ties,
    Tax his shirt,
    Tax his work,
    Tax his dirt.
    Tax his tobacco,
    Tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
    Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers, if he cries, then
    Tax his tears.
    Tax his car,
    Tax his gas,
Find other ways to tax his ass
Tax all he has then let him know
That you won't be done till he has no dough.
    When he screams and hollers,
    Then tax him some more,
Tax him till He's good and sore.
    Then tax his coffin ,
    Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in Which he's laid.
Put these words upon his tomb,
" Taxes drove me to my doom..."
    When he's gone,
    Do not relax,
    Its time to apply
    The inheritance tax.
    Accounts Receivable Tax
    Building Permit Tax
    CDL license Tax

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What the heck happened? Can you spell "politicians!"

I'm shocked to learn that there was no recreational vehicle tax 100 years ago. IRS interest charges are not a tax; they are a penalty for not paying taxes, which is not the same thing. People are living longer and living better, which is part of the reason these taxes exist. The large middle class from 100 years ago would be considered the lowest part of the lower class today. The middle class in 1907, for the most part, did not have cars or electricity and on average did not live long enough to regret not being able to collect their social security because that system would not be established for another 40 years.

Ahhh you get it. The higher the number of taxes and the more difficult for the average to figure it out the better off we are...

    brilliant (not)

The FairTax is a reasonable idea, but if you consider that the Federal government is not meant to be in the business of bureacratically managing everything, a sales tax at the state level would be acceptable.

Without putting a limit on the federal government's ability to go into debt, taxes are irrelevant, because we will continue to be hit with the inflation tax, that is the hidden tax we all get nailed with everytime the Fed creates new money to facilitate government overspending.
