    1. It has become a business and in meanwhile many thousand people got employed to work on this case. What would happen if this would be resolved quickly? - You're right - thousands would lose their job which wouldn't look good at the unemployment statistic.:D

    2. This was planned to feed yoyo's spiritual gifts and to see what the outcome will be. :p

    3. They were found, but keep it a secret to keep rumours alive.:rolleyes:

    4. If they would arrest him, then perhaps no longer a reason to be there. :eek:

    Success -> Massive taliban arrests.
    Success -> Creation of a democratic government in Afganistan.
    Success -> Capture of Saddam.
    Success -> More than half of the most wanted(the cards) criminals in Saddams regime is captured.
    Success -> Creation of a democratic government in Iraq.

    Failure failure failure from the Islamic nations:

    failure: Giving real help to the Palestinians (no, offering suicide money reward for the fams of bombers is not help)

    failure: Helping the U.S. in finding Osama and capturing Abu Mosab Al Zarkawi

    failure: helping effectively fight terrorism in any way, shape or form (why do we even need to be involved)

    failure: establishing societies that are democratic, honor the rights of ALL human beings, and trying to stop anti semitism and the intolerance towards any other religion than there own.

    Well, there are about 100 more I could list, but it gets old. We have a bunch of other threads about it, I recall.

    In other words: the Americans have accomplished more in 4 years than the Islamic nations in 1,000 years. So who is criticising whom?

    Blogmaster, some of the points you mentioned are practically easy if you have the will. But the problem is that the Islamic countries doesn't see those points as failures.

    When it comes to help the palestinians, UEA and some other gulf countries have helped a lot with construction projects in Gaza after the deportation of israeli settlers. But the effect is only that more and more palestinians don't have to build up their country themselves, so instead they go and throw some quassams on Israel just for fun.

    Establishing democracy can be possible, but the people will elect the most stricted regime on the list that regulates their daily life as much as possible.

    Why did Spain not prevent the attacks there or how about London? Why was WWII not prevented? Why was WWI not prevented? Why were Japanese atrocities against the Chinese not prevented?

    Heck, I could go on for days on end listing things that could have been prevented or at least limited from countries all around the world.

    Why did the Clinton administration do very little when the first attacks in 93 happened? Why did Russia fail to prevent the horrible terrorism attack against one of their schools?

    BTW, you named two people in your post. Can I ask you something. What do you think will be accompished through their capture? If your answer was "nothing much", you would be correct.

    I think it was 92... and they did nothing because the FBI supplied the bomb and paid a million dollars for the rat of the group to testify (both are facts by the way) ;)

    Let's see... the capture of both men would be horrible for morale, not to mention Bin Laden might spill the beans on Bush and Co if he was captured :D

    I encountered a conspiracy thread which argued that whole point of the terrorist attacks on the United States was to create the political environment which the Bush administration could use to start engineering a catastrophic war involving Israel so as to bring about Armageddon. Attacking Iraq put Syria and Iran on notice that they would be attacked, resulting in greater efforts on Iran's part to develop a nuclear weapon which could be used to attack Israel, thereby initiating the final conflict. Unfortunately, time is running out on the plan and agents from several Christian groups are closing in on the individual they believe to the anti-Christ, who is using the religious right for this very purpose. There is now real anxiety that the U.S. will not support the individuals needed to keep the plan in motion beyond 2008 or that the anti-Christ will be uncovered and killed.

    Well, that's what that conspiracy theory thread said. :cool:

    Might want to bone up on the culture a little more. The capture of these two will not hurt their morale horribly. It may boost ours a little, since we love feel-good stories. The terrorist groups operate more like a well-organized gang. Capture or kill one cell and all you did was remove one cell. The other cells are not affected.

    I would like to see the press focus more on the culture and the setup of terrorist groups. Americans (led by Bush) believe the lack of another attack means we are safe and everything is working as planned. The fact is, they are an overly patient people and don't suffer from the grips of instant gratification as we do.

    Just the other day enough radio active material was brought in through our ports to make two dirty bombs. Not one credible educated expert on the matter believes we won't be hit with an attack again. It might be another two, three or five years, but it will happen.
