Fading in and out with a fixed bg image to another image

    Hi there

    I haven't seen this done before but what I've been asking for is 'HOW DO YOU FADE IN AND OUT USING A FIXED BACKGROUND IMAGE'? My background is a fixed image and I want to fade out with a another fixed image. I know I can animate this in flash but I want to have html text or content on top of the fixed background image fading in and out.

    I have seen some scripts where they managed to change (fade) the background colors. I am not sure if it could be done with background images. I didn't go deep into it since I personally didn't like the idea.

    What about maybe changing the background image on a new page but fading into a new image?

    You can use AJAX to achieve this effect in your XHTML CSS
