Facism hurts freelancers

    I joined DP to post a $100 logo design contest, only to find out you have to have been a member for two weeks as well as made 25+ forum posts. I figure that must drive away a lot of potential new members, but I can see the reasoning behind it.

    So I watch the forums for a while, helping people with PHP and whatnot. Then I get an "infraction" for saying hello (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=4105856#post4105856). I've seen some facist admins in the past, but wow.

    My suggestion to the administration is that you reevaluate your forum policy. Personally, I don't have time to deal with a childish demerit system, and will be looking elsewhere for my design work.

    Well, you were saying "hello" in a really old thread. Folks that do that make posts (usually) just to up their post count. Probably what the staff thought.
