I have checked and see Facebook coupons dicussed in threads but didn't notice Facebook PPC. Apologies if has been covered before. I am wondering if anyone has any real sucess with Facebook PPC. So far I think: 1. Much cheaper bids than Adwords. 2. Not so easy to monitor that stats and benefits than adwords. 3. Godo for targetting certain geo-demographics but hard to really target people specifically as the keywod could be in their profile etc but not really relate to waht you want. Any thoughts?
Yep, and they don't have conversion tracking either, so it's hard to know what's working. You have to split an identical campaign into many discreet demographic targets and track in 3rd party tracking.
As a facebook user I can say I never click the adverts. Most of my friends (600 or so) don't either unless they're drunk at 2 in the morning and miss the button they were going for. I'd say Google is going to be your best bet. If you're looking for an alternative to AdWords, try Findology - it's 2nd tier PPC and it's very cheap but it certainly doesn't convert. It's great for bulking up ranking on Squidoo or if you have a site that pays per visitor, you could do well this way. J
