Facebook's Indexing of our info to Google

If you don't know, as of today, Facebook will automatically index all your info on Google, which allows everyone to view it.

To change this option, go to Settings --> Privacy Settings --> Search --> then UN-CLICK the box that says 'Allow indexing'. Facebook kept this one quiet (probably made millions of bucks for a deal with Google).

Copy and paste onto your status for all your friends and colleagues ASAP.

You can try this by typing your name on Google's search box and hitting enter. You will be surprised that there are actually a lot of sites (from all over the world) who has your info already.

Imagine how shock I was looking at a supposed contact info page of myself in Spanish and Italian websites.

But if you've got no problem with this, you can of course keep your current FB settings.

You should block you profile from non-users/friend so search engines wont crawl!

If you set your profile to private - nobody except for your friends is going to be able to view your profile. Not even Google Bots!

As most blog posts say, and facebook - this is just some rumor that has become big.
