I have a small video production business in Sarasota, and shoot marketing videos all over the state. I have been on FB for 6 months. I have many samples of my videos, links to all my blogs, all the info on how a video will promote a business all over the web. Nothing. No business. I joined many Florida business groups, and have seen zero business inquiries and interest in these groups. Zero. I have posted links with my different marketing videos at all these groups. Nothing. I personally have had a few inquiries with my FB friends about my marketing videos, but then zero followups. Yes FB is a great venue. And yes, maybe some people are getting business from there. But I haven't, nor have I seen anything from others. Most of what I've seen is politics and general BS chit chat about nothing of any importance. I really am cutting back a lot on paticipating on FB because it has been a total waste of my time for making any money. Total waste. Personally, the business people I've talked to (in person) are pretty ignorant about marketing their business and website, Google, etc. Even though business is bad or down for some people, they are doing nothing, and don't know about how to increase their online exposure. So this could also be the mentality of business people on FB. Pretty stupid and ignorant. Good luck.
I would say Facebook advertising beats google ads hands down. Price-wise and target-wise. At least that was my experience. But you have to have a good Page—not private profile (so fans can join it) on facebook.
Obviously Search Engine is better than faceboon and twitter its up to you how to drive traffic on your site from SE...
ya but traffic is hard to get without a little boost thats why we are all amazed by facebook and twitter
