this is just like the dot com boom guys, the company is way overpriced, and what i would really like to know is how much PROFIT facebook makes in a year, that will give a more realistic idea of what its value is

    Cheers

i just read through the yahoo article on facebook, and saw that myspace has revenues of $550 m , but on that, profits are only $10m... thats means profit is less than 2% of revenue...

Something is only worth what the other party is willing to pay for.

For the backend code etc I'd pay $10 000000 Million max.

    For the user database I would pay $1 000 000 So $5 a user.

Facebook worths the value. It's very social and really meets what people need. The experience is just different with facebook. I may say $10 billion is too expensive, but for the numerous people activiting inside facebook, all the campaigns and advertising, all its features, what it's built for people around the world, its big name and image. just Wow..!

A lot of my friends are enjoying facebook and the small applications there. This is a good way of social bookmarking since friends are able to get connected anyone and share whatever they have in mind.

Facebook will become how MySpace is today when something new comes out. The internet and its culture changes so quick that a website with no business plan being worth 10bil is just silly.
