It's fake. Why would Facebook shutdown its operation? It just doesn't make any sense at all especially when the company profiting billion of dollars.

 

If it's in the Weekly World News, it must be true.

this is totally fake because such news can be published by facebook itself not some crapy site who has the same work to do and have the max traffic

Common sense tells me that since facebook just recieved millions of dollars in funding, they would not shut down or face a lot of lawsuits. Anyways mashable.com put this rumor to rest. http://mashable.com/2011/01/09/facebook-shutdown/

It's actually pretty funny that they take a website that says "ALIEN SPACESHIPS TO ATTACK EARTH IN 2011" as a credible source.

 

Such rumors is circulating the net before that Facebook will soon end its free service and they are going to make it a paid service but I think they cant seem to shutdown considering that Facebook is making millions or probably billions of money in the pocket already coz of ads and stuff

 

It's really fake. I don't know why they should end in the middle of having a lot of user and earning a million dollars? Maybe this guy just posted the link to earn a lot of traffic or what. It's totally can be considered as black propaganda. I don't think Facebook will end up just like that because for them it's just putting a lot of money into trash.

They are NOT profiting Billiions of dollars. Maybe they sell shares to people for Millions(at the most). How do they make money, oh yea tht's righ the sell ads, awsome sustainable model.
