I understand Google's 'play' here, but in my opinion Google+ will only catch on in the B2B world. I think that Facebook will remain the dominant force in social media for at least 5 more years. I just think that the people who use Facebook like high school students, working moms, people trying to reconnect with their college buddies, will still use Facebook. I'm just trying to think how much farther Google can legitimately go to tilt the playing field its direction. They're already influencing SEO with Google+. Can they do much else to gain supremacy over Facebook? We've written about this a fair amount on our website.
I agree that Facebook will beat Google+ in the short term. But it is so difficult to predict what will be hot and popular 10 years from now. Facebook may one day end up going the way of MySpace.
Actually you shouldn't used the word will but is beating badly Google+ , There are not many people except SEOs, Internet Marketers and bloggers who use Google+, On the other hand nearly everyone has a facebook account...
