Facebook Will Be Back Soon

    I've been getting this message:

    "Facebook Will Be Back Soon"

for more than 2 weeks already. They say that:

"Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minutes."

    and in a subsequent page:

"If you're still seeing this error after 24 hours, let us know."

for which I've been giving feedback daily, but have not gotten any reply.

Has anyone out there experienced such a long outage, or perhaps has better insight as to what is going on?

Ivan there are 2 ways to fix this problem, first one : be lazy lay down and cry and wait for it to be fixed alone :D the 2nd one move your hands buddy :

    1. Go to your browser settings remove all history including passwords , cookies and etc.
2.Try a proxy to see if the proxy shows this error , you can find proxies at google search.

    Good luck buddy.

open your browser. press "ctrl" + "shift" + "del" and clear your all browsing data and try.
If this do not work, try using another web browser.

Hi. I registered to say that I, too, have been unable to log in for more than 2 weeks.

Clearing my browser's cache does not solve the problem.
I've tried multiple browsers and multiple computers (so, yeah, not malware, either).

I don't think my account was hacked, either, because my wife can see my profile and there aren't any spammy posts or anything.

If it's a server issue, fine. But 2 weeks without a response from Facebook? That's messed up.

Very interesting topic, never seen this with Facebook. What kind of page you have - personal or business?

    Mine is a personal profile.

I should add that I did try to change my password to see if that helped.
It didn't. Now I'm logged out of the mobile app, too.

Other people (e.g., my wife) can log in fine.
So it must be on Facebook's end.

I am still logged in on the mobile browser, and if this keeps up, I'm considering deleting my current account and just starting over.

Hi.... Yes, I've flushed my browser settings, on multiple computers by now.
I've also used an overseas proxy to see if I can login, and I still get this error.

Been getting this error since about 6th October 2012. So it's been about a month already.

Hi... Initially, I could only access it from my iPhone.
I closed my account and planned to reopen it to see if that would reset the problem.
Now my account remains closed, and I can't access it at all...

Looks like a DNS problem to me, you can try these:

    1) Start->Run->type cmd

Then in the command prompt, type:

    ipconfig /flushdns

    2) Try accessing Facebook using https

    3) try accessing using one of Facebook IPs like:
    https : //69.171.247.21

Hi... Yes, I've tried that... And from multiple sites...
Still getting the same message from Facebook...

I understand that they may need to do some maintenance,
but gosh, how can they still not resolve the problem with my account for such a long time...
    since 6th October 2012...

To all the people that were locked out of facebook for two weeks, were you ever able to get back in? I am now dealing with this "facebook will be back soon" mess. Going on 6 days now. All the same issues as above, and tried all the fixes too. It's so frustrating, especially because about 5% of the time I can get in, then it kicks me back out. Does it eventually just start working again? I have looked all over the net and there doesn't seem to be an actually fix that works. Thanks!
