Obviously facebook is my 1st option for getting/driving traffic to my website/pages. And the 2nd position for twitter.
I did a hashtag data mining project on Twitter. Twitter is cluttered with spam. Its hard to get any genuine content from Twitter. Facebook at least uses decent authentication methods and spam filters in their application. The point is : Traffic from Twitter is low quality. Its probably mostly bot traffic, while traffic from Facebook is higher quality in the sense that its actually real people going to your site and not just bots.
Hi Maria, I would say that Facebook and Twitter are both useful for traffic but in different ways. Facebook ads are a great tool for finding new business and you can tailor them to whatever your aim is, whether that's increasing your Facebook fanbase or driving more traffic through to your website. Twitter is great for customer support queries and if you're running competitions then encourage retweets for further exposure and include a strong call-to-action.
Depends. For personal use — facebook. More friends there, and I guess I need a place to keep up with what they're up to. For business — twitter. But tumblr though. I'm seeing a lot of results from using tumblr.
Facebook is the appropriate channel to increase traffic. Twitter is only for tweets short messages, on Facebook You can share lots of information that will surely attract the users....
Facebook has delivered instant results to me in more easy ways as compared to Twitter. For Twitter a different mindset and strategy is required.
It depends how you use both of them to get traffics. Both of them use different strategics. However Facebook has the most users base and might be easier to lure some traffics but Twitter also have huge users base as well and is on live so bring traffics as they go so it does depends on how you use both of them. For me personally, I bought in more traffics than Twitter. I mean it's a lot easier to get friends on Facebook and it's harder to get followers on Twitter so you get the concept of how much traffics can be compared to, unless you are lucky and have several followers then undoubtedly you should be able to get more traffics from Twitter.
Yeah, I think that Facebook is the best in terms of traffic and views. Twitter is a great option as well, but I think that FB is a bit more viable.
Every network has different purposes. You might have engaging conversations on Facebook, but Twitter is a place to post and find info in a hurry.
No need to argue if which is better. In my own point of view, both are great social networking sites. I use to gain traffic for my website with the help of both social networking sites.
