Facebook vs Twitter

I like facebook better than twitter for most businesses.

 

Facebook is better

 

I did little test, I made brand new website and as soon as I pulished, I posted just one link on facebook, no sitemap, or signing up to webmaster tools.... nothing just one link on facebook. And next day one page from that site was indexed in google, so that is telling me that they do value facebook link in some way...

 

I think facebook is better than twitter...

 

I think FB is better its number 2 website on the internet.

 

I like Facebook for both SEO and social networking purpose.

For SEO purpose facebook is much better than twitter..

now 90% of people are on facebook only

I understand this my not be the best place to ask, but could someone explain why linking fb and twitter (using the twitter app on fb) doesn't work? Is there a straight forward way to link (in both directions) fb and twitter accounts.

In an ideal world, my tweets would appear on fb automatically. I'm sure it can be done. Thanks.

Facebook is much more commonly used among everyone I know. And more room for advertising/seo etc. It's not uncommon on FB.

I would say that Facebook and Twitter are distinctly different, ie they serve different purposes. Facebook is a social tool for friends to communicate, whereas Twitter is a micro-blogging platform where you can follow people to receive their messages as they post them. Twitter is the equivalent of being on a bunch of targeted mailing lists where you only receive messages that are relevant to you.

I use both Facebook and Twitter because they serve different purposes.

 

So to answer the original question, I would suggest Twitter is better for SEO as you can build a following of people who are a) relevant to your topic and b) want to receive your messages.

Twitter is also better for business in my opinion.

 

Facebook for sure em already earning through it!

 

I have to agree with Chris-M.

I'm going with twitter. Especially if your one of your keywords is your name, although you've got to be a tad creative. Got me to number one on google within a week! Don't get me wrong fb has it's uses, but twitter is the more commercially acceptable b2b platform. fb is more b2c.
