From advertisers perspective - Yes it is possible. Facebook can deliver more worth in ROI compared to Google Adwords. Advertisers can choose more ways for their ads to be displayed, such as gender / age / continent / location and even more while Adwords can deliver simple geography location for their advertisers From regular user perspective - No it is impossible, at least for now. Facebook is seems much more popular but only with a groups of people. Facebook is also recognized as "social network" and to find "friends" while Google is recognized as "search engines" and to find "data / information". They both cannot be replaced between each other if I might add.
i Know you're right ... but alexa rank is depends on number of visit's ..... so according to that Facebook beats Google one day ... wow Facebook = 1 and Google = 2 <<< interesting to see
Hi, Facebook is as social networking and entertainment, but Google is all in one. There is no comparison for it. And the main think Facebook getting over Google is impossibe.
It would be interesting if Facebook roll out some kind of search engine that is based on their users database.
when google stated in the beginning they were making no money, for fqcebook guess what??? answer: the same. google started using advertising the business to make millions facebook just started advertising in their site also. google is richer than facebook though
Facebook can't beat Google in search engine topic , But Facebook is getting more traffic compared to Google now a days.
As many people said, at the moment FB cannot eat up Google as they provide different services. It is true that FB is lately driving more traffic than Google so if they do it right they could beat Google in terms of paid advertising, at least for content-related and targeted ads.
they can ... according to alexa ... facebook moving towards 1st position and Google can't be able to stop it
Well, basically more than 85% of the whole internet traffic is coming through Google so that's why it's very difficult that any other search medium such as facebook, or any other can replace the Google and the search of the Google is the static search while the search that we made at the facebook is known as real time search...
facebook is social networking site and google is search engine... so both are different sites... facebook will sure gone 1st place due to its high usage... any person which will search in google and goes to any website that means he already left google behind... means google is just for a one time use and facebook is very popular(in page view time) so i think google might get second
I don't think there are so many conflict points between Facebook and Google. They just do well in their own field. One is mainly for searching service, and another for communication. Absolutely there will be the be conflict of interests but it's too early to make decision.
You can not compare Facebook to Google because both have different form of dynamics, however the extensive use over the world can make it compare through only number of traffic
