Yesterday I received a message from a friend on FB. In this message this is a video named " you are the funny gal in the world". It is a video link. After clicking this video, an unknown software was installed on my PC. I realized that I got a virus. My brother downloaded Anvi Smart Defender to get rid of this virus. And he told me to not go to facebook again because it is facebook that got me this virus. But I really wanna stay with friends on facebook. Will I get virus if I don't click any video on facebook? Is it facebook virus?

Be wary of the messages you receive on facebook. Facebook itself is not the problem, it's the loopholes in the way it operates that the people manipulate for personal gain. If it's something fishy like that, it's best to avoid it. Though it's hard to distinguish the way these messages are being sent these days. If you don't remember being in a video that would somehow be funny, then.. Confirm it with the person who messaged it to you. When they see the message in the inbox and realize they didn't send the message that it shows they sent to you, problem will dissolve

You don't have to boycott facebook if you don't want to. You just have to be extra careful because after all it's a public site. Don't open spammy looking mails, click on suspicious looking links and videos. And also, you have to be careful with the information you put out there because it's a public site. Facebook has lots of benefits, use it with caution and responsibility. :)

I second that, as I know a group of people that got arrested and convicted of a felony because of their affiliation on Facebook.

On a side note, I find this virus pretty funny. If I remember right, it's been going around since.. 2006? 2007? There's been minor variations, but it's primarily still the same thing that people still click on.
