Facebook vanity url/profile name question

Here at work, we own a Facebook account and tried to register our company name for our vanity URL (i.e. facebook.com/company) last Saturday. However, it said that the name was already taken...but when we visited the URL, it said "page not found." What's going on here? It's like the name isn't allowed for use by Facebook... a trademark claim was never submitted, either; even though we do own the trademark.

What is the purpose of guessing? Time waster. Write to Facebook.

IMO,maybe at the time you check the url,FB still did not approve the url request.
You should try it at other time.
Why don't you use other name?

Have you ever written Facebook Support? They are notorious for not responding. I've tried.

We can't - either we get our exact company name, or there's going to be a big problem. It's a short and well known name, and we have to own it.
