There is a rumour that Facebook intends to charge about £14.99 a month for use of the site from July this year.

Do you think that they'd kill themselves if they started to charge because there are other networking sites out there providing similar service for free?

Or you would be prepared to pay that money for the service?

I can't find any reason to pay when i can get the same thing for free somewhere else doesn't sound like facebook is making a good business decision.

Where do you get your info/news?
its not news if its just something you created in your head / thought about!

We all know facebook is smarter than that!

tho i wouldn't doubt them to offer a primo paid services for business corps. etc. etc.
but the basic service will always be free if you ask me

I would never pay to use that website, it's a good site don't get me wrong. But not worth paying for at all, plenty of websites will take them over if they do that.

They might just get away with it if they made a "pro" version of the site but they'd kill it if they charged all users.

We'd suddenly think "why did I abandon my MySpace profile?" and off we'd go

Pffff, there's a chainmail going around on Hyves, the dutch version of facebook that says the same thing. I kept getting those mails from my friends and wondered how stupid someone must be to believe that even though the staff has said millions of times that it's not true. It does give you an impression of how gullible those friends are

I'd pay for a pro version if it allowed me to generate a greater ROI / network

I can't imagine it being that much. They'd lose atleast half their members in a week.
