Facebook has released a new tool that lets users convert their personal profile into a Facebook Page.
Oh, it looks like it was a bad idea coz Facebook took the migration tool down after getting a lot of complaints from users who didn’t know what they were getting into when they converted their personal profiles to official pages, Facebook decided to finally just take down the tool before more people “accidentally†used it.
I don't know if you are talking about the option "Use facebook as a page", if yes then there is an option to switch back to your profile. I don't know why but i liked that feature.
Yes, this way is quite good for online store businessman who doesnt want to build fanpage from the beginning. If you already have friends list almost 5000 i think its time to migrate your facebook account to facebook fanpage
