Facebook Profile or Facebook Page?

Which do you recommend that I create/use for the purpose of collecting people's email's? I have seen that you are able to import all of your friends contacts from your Facebook Profile to your email account or do you recommend me creating a Facebook Page and creating a CTA Tab to collect emails? :)

    Thanks,
hope to hear from people soon !

Thanks for the link. So do you recommend I create a facebook page rather than a profile then? :)

I also recommend you to create a page. You will get more people to your page. But there is a limitation to make friends in your profile.

I suggest you to create a Facebook page rather than a profile. Page is much more effective to get traffic than profile.

If you're using Facebook for promotional or commercial purposes, then I would recommend you create a page. You'll have more options that way. Plus, you'll be able to use Facebook advertising to drive traffic to your page.

I use 1 profile - my own and from it i make my business fb pages. Easy to control everything from 1 page.

I think most people use their main email address and they are active (if they are not spamers :))

As a personal profile page you can only add 5000 friends. As a page, you can go nuts. Not that much of a debate :)

I also recommend you to create a facebook page instead of a profile, because of many reasons (for example, the limit of a personal profile where you can only add 5000 friends). Anyway you will need a personal profile to manage the page(s) you create.

Please also note that driving traffic to a page is a bit harder than a profile (IMHO) because people tend to interact more with persons than with companies.

Keep in mind that each person who signs up for Facebook has one account with login information. Each account can have one personal profile and manage multiple Pages. so its better to have facebook profile

I really like to have a profile to do promotion with. With a profile I have been experiencing it is easier to get in touch with people and they will have the chance to follow you, if you reach the 5k limit.

Well for business purposes it is just right to build a page instead.
Besides, a page will still be associated with a your profile.

If you create Facebook page, then you can add a "Like us on Facebook" widget on your website, which you can't do for a profile.

Create a site/blog, then create a Facebook page and grow traffic and popularity. Then write an e-book and offer it on your Facebook page. If you do the targeting well and offer real value in your e-book, people will be more than happy to give you their emails in order to get your e-book.
