It will open a new window so that you can add friends from your email already on Facebook. You can either do this now or you can wait until later. 6. Once you have confirmed your email address, go back to the sign up page and type in your Facebook password. 7. It will then take you through steps to fill out your profile. For example, it will ask you for you high school, college, and company information. You do not have to fill in each question. Remember that people may be able to access your profile, so any information you do not wish to share with everyone should not go on this profile. 8. Join a network. To do so, you can type in the name of your town. If you are from a smaller town, it will give you networks close to you. For instance, Stamford, NE has the choice of being in the Kearney network or the North Platte network. 9. Once you have joined, you can either find friends or follow step by step instructions, or you can view and edit your profile. You can edit your profile by clicking on the edit tab at the top of the page between profile and friends.
