Hello, I have tried marketing my NY Forum many ways. I have done all of the standard get your family and friends to register, link building from several sites that I link to participate on, standard signature link, some offline advertising including the Finger Lakes region Penny Saver to a few hundred thousand people, and google adwords. I did not have much success with google adwords, but I'm wondering if targeting the 2 million plus members on facebook is worth the effort? I'm willing to let an ad run on there for a few weeks and see what happens. Does anyone have any experience to show facebook might do OK where adwords failed? They both charge me around the same rate for PPC advertising. Thank you, -Raymond
Yes i have experience in face book. specially group postings i am doing it for 0.15$ per post. I can do 500 postings per day interested PM me
I have run ppc ads on facebook in past but average cpc cost is nearly same as adwords. but only one thing is good on facebook is you don't have to worry much about landing page quality standard and good USA/UK traffic. you can also use Yahoo search and adbrite for getting visitors.
facebook ppc is suweeet! you can target the exact demographics that you want and the cpc can get real cheap.
I got like 50,000 views and no clicks before I decided to turn it off. I didn't want to forget about it and then get some random big bill for it someday. -Raymond
There is WAY more application to Facebook than you're talking about. You can target specific demographics perfectly and target products much more efficiently. CPC is higher, less traffic, but if you spend time you can make good money doing it.
Facebook ppc is a good way to get traffic, but alot of people just click on it and leave and it raises my bounce rate
Facebook ads are a game not unlike Adwords or any other ad system out there. It takes a while to get the hang of it (mainly getting your ads approved), but you can get some very cheap clicks if done right.
