I think it would matter what your target audience is. For example, a dating site would probably do well.

I doubt I'll ever be using Facebook as an advertising venture, unless I hear good things of course!

its a hoax im sure they pay people to click ur ads. I had payed $80 for my campaign and got about 1000 clicks but the finniest this is 200 were from the same IP address and it wasn't facebooks. I dont know how this worked but when I tryed to contact them they said that they are in no control of how many times a user clicks on ur ad. They do not offer refunds either so be careful!

Sounds like they don't watch for click fraud or 24hr unique visits...that's sad, especially for such a well known site!

Although I haven't run anything on facebook, I have a friend who is pretty dedicated to it. He makes about $100 to $150 a day but he needs to watch things like a hawk because conversions can suddenly shift.

Facebook, advertising blindness, everybody too busy doing what they do in facebook, its no good for advertising unless you are a big ad agency they facebook will take a few million £$ from you!!

If the adverts are relevant to people using facebook they will get more clicks. From what others are saying it looks like advertising on facebook is expensive and it doesn't gaurentee alot of clicks.

I have two facebook groups one has more than 440,000 members and the other group has more than 600,000 and they increase 2000 - 3000 members eveyday (or every few days, not sure how they work out member increase) and I have created a relevant blog which is actually about the groups and it receives lots of traffic probably because the blog is targetted to an audience and is relevant to users visiting the groups.
