I have used facebook ads for some pages I made and it was very good and cheap also
I got targetted fans and likes and my page got 1000s of visits
facebook also have boost your post option to boost any special post of yours. I used that to boost my site post and got plenty of visitors

I tried to advertise an ebook selling site but facebook rejected saying "money making" claims was not accepted

can anyone tell me if they have experience in advertising such sites on facebook ??

    how to earn money etc

I have used it for an ecommerce site as an experiment. The sites traffic already has 80,000+ where i'm there consultant and developer. As a experiment I used Facebook to sell a product with free delivery. But only receive one conversion out of 12k views. So with our exercise I would say no. It's not worth it. Not yet anyways. It also depends on your niche.

Facebook can be very picky when it comes to advertising. I've tried paid advertising, but had better results through my own efforts.

One thing you might try to use is the newsfeed ads.

I heard from a reliable source that they are much more lenient with their newsfeed ads.

    :]

But as a rule... They do NOT like "make money" offers.

And... It can be risky to continually get your ads disapproved.

    Maybe try a different niche?

And yes.. I am having success with Facebook ads. I do not promote any "make money" offers though.

    Hope this helps.

I think it's free. You won't able to pay fees.
