    Yes That is true. Usually website like facebook are having high authority even almost as much as google. It is normal to get PR10. PR depends not only from backlinks but also from theme, visitors, content, administration of website and etc Too large number of criterias

    Now a days Facebook is most popular social networking site. Facebook have unlimited visitors & uncountable backlinks. Every single user have a/c on facebook. I think nothing surprising if facebook have 10 pr.

    I don't think that the number of backlinks in this case is so important, but Facebook has also quality backlinks to them so it's not so surprising . By the way , renlok I think is the first , they have more visitors than google itself.
