Well said. And most of the people are still using FB. Twitter is just a time pass thing and even I don't use it often.
Gawker has published information on this front (Facebook being dramatically more valuable than Twitter, even more so when you remove Gizmodo from the analysis). We see a similar trend at CafeMom where we view Facebook is truly something that drives our business and a significant volume of traffic, whereas Twitter we do only because "it's what everyone does", but it really does not drive any appreciable traffic. The fact that even for Mashable a FB Share is way more likely to generate a click than a Tweet doesn't bode that well for mainstream publications that have a less twitter-friendly audience.
Both are valuable in their own way. Personally, Twitter is not visually appealing because of too much spam; it doesn't draw the viewers in as easily as Facebook.
Yes no doubt that facebook is better than twitter, but if you have great number of followers on twitter then each tweet can drive hundreds of visitors.
Are you saying or asking ? Facebook share is more valuable only if you have enough friends and the friend whom you share has good amount of friends too. The reason being, when you share anything with a friend, it appears on your homepage as well as your friend's homepage. This is viewed even by the users who are not your friends, so you get more viewers to the post you shared. On the other hand, if you have tremendous amount of followers on twitter, only then your tweets will help you get some value.
Yes, i agree with all of you facebook give a lot of traffic then twitter because there are millions of accounts on facebook.
Both of them are useful though I agree that Facebook Share is more attracting that tweets on Twitter because it displays title, description and thumbnail of a post.
Facebook has more value and more traffic than twitter, due to its easy future and number of people joined there, it has become more famous. Also a lot of companies are using this website to promote their product and getting good results.
yes i am totally agree that facebook share is more important than twitter's tweets because there are more users of facebook than twitter and facebook share has more impact than twitter tweets.
I think you cant compare because if you are going to have few friends and followers both will be a waste of time. In twitter you get unknown people not in your friend list to follow your tweets so its more about how you market yourself both are just social media tools which need to be handled well. Perspectives may differ but in the end its all about how you market yourself not where you market yourself Forumwatch.org - The watch clock of all SEO forums
