    I have sent a message via facebook that i shouldnt have - I understand you are not able to delete so I have reported it as spam and deactivated my account. Does anyone know if this message will still be able to be seen by the person I have sent it to?

    I don't know, but that's a pretty major overreaction isn't it?
    What could have possibly sent that warrants you needing to make endless explanations to all your facebook friends, you real friends and your family who will be puzzled and worried by your account disappearing?

    Facebook doesn't take reporting spam seriously, your report will be ignored. Deleting your account won't help anything either. Your friends might take it as a slight. That message you sent will get read.
    We all need to take a long breath first before we post stuff, because once it's out it's out.
