Hi Guy's, I've added Facebook like buttons to my site by generating the simple iframe code. The problem I'm having is that when someone push's the like button the page appears as a like on their profile but not in the news feeds for their friends to see. Does anyone know if this is a mistake on my part or does it take a while before Facebook posts them to the news feeds?
I'm just thinking out load here. Wouldn't the like button in the iframe reference the iframe and not the displayed page, thus no content and nothing to like. I'd use a php include instead. However, your sites look like they may be wordpress and I've no luck making my includes work with wordpress. Maybe someone else here has had more experience with this and can shed some light on the subject.
Sounds like you don't understand how the like button works. The real URL is passed through a query string, so it doesn't matter if it's in one iframe or ten. OP: It shows in the news feed, you just can't see your own likes in your own news feed.
Hi, actually I noticed it when my friend liked the button that I couldn't see it in the news feed and she said she couldn't see them in her news feeds when I like the buttons thats what got me wondering about this, sorry I should have said that in the first post
