I am having problems setting up the like button on my website. I want it to say how many people have liked this page. If you look at http://www.e-junkie.com/ at the top of the page and you can see what I am shooting for. I know how to do all of the divs and everything I just cant get it to display the number of people that have liked my page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks John

You need to simply paste the code to your site after filling out the form.

If noone likes your site... then there is nothing to count, right?

Copying a fixed "top bar" is quite... boring

I copied the bar to figure out how it was placed there. It was a learning experience. Of course there is no likes because I just put it there. It seems there is always one person like you in every forum that has to try to be a smart ass when someone is looking for some help. (Thats what this forum is here for).

Just to mention, if you use the IFRAME or the FB:LIKE code from Facebook your site's code will get invalid.

I am using the jQuery Facebook Like plugin and my sites are still valid XHTML... just FYI!

Interesting I didn't think of that! I couldn't figure out how to fix that frame error but I am going to look into this. Sorry for going off topic a little CSM is pretty much on the money. Also check the development documents for which method needs cross domain files. I experimented when the connect platform and widgets first came out but it has changed considerably since then and I think you no longer need the cross domain file for basic functionality but I am no longer sure on this since I don't deal directly with the code anymore, all plugins now.
