Just wondering if anyone has recently added the Facebook LIKE button or twitter retweet to their website and saw positive results from the added backlinking? A lot of the big dog websites and blogs are adding these buttons a lot and wondering if any of you have seen an increase in traffic of ranking due to this?
Has nothing to do with ranking or links as far as SEO goes, but it does drive traffic from Facebook since anyone that "likes" something, all their friends see the link.
In other words Google has taken the LINK button and retweet into consideration to NOT boost PR or SEO?
Google doesn't see the links it generates to begin with. You have to be logged into your Facebook account to see the Likes by your friends. It servers no SEO purpose... but DOES drive real traffic if you have good content.
depends what type of site you have... wpress has plug ins there are dreamweaver plug ins... you have to be more specific
Twitter and facebook is the large social media site at the present time. Every days a lot of visitor visit these site and they have high page rank. So if we able to submit my site link to facebook and twitter that will be very helpful for seo and traffic generation.
As I know are Facebook likes as well as ReTweets used by Google as Social Ranking factors! In the beginning of SEO, a link were seen as positive vote in the eyes of Google. Well, this still applies, but course all thos link building methods, used by Webmasters to cheat the Google algorithm, it´s just logical to look out for other signals. And what can be used better than social signals to determine the popularity and relevance of a website?
Public twitter and public facebook pages will add a tiny bit of value since google can see them, but keep in mind they won't add much value since google also can count the posts as junk content and completely ignore them. Real visitors are the benefit of facebook and twitter traffic. If you want user interaction on your site, then facebook and twitter are excellent sources of traffic.
