Something like $0.50/click . There's an option to pay for impressions too. Thanks for the tips, blogaboutnothin, but I'm using a clickbank so I can't really do that. Perhaps I'll try it in the future .
Yeah, you can get mad impressions but paid traffic from Facebook is ridiculous for traditional direct response. For me, getting any consistency with sales has proved to be impossible. Try to find some promo codes for free credits and gamble it away! When you think about it though, it makes sense. People on Facebook are looking to talk to their friends or play some weirdo games... they're not actively searching for any kind of solution to a problem (like they are with Google, Yahoo and Bing). Probably good for branding or selling something humorous like gimmicky t-shirts... not so much for direct response style marketing. Although I'd be curious to see results of targeting teens and mid 20-somethings while promoting something like Proactiv skincare stuff...
As an experienced online marketer, you will find Facebook valuable. People who say stay away from it do not know how to market properly.
Actually, People in Facebook do not come for products, if you have promoted dating type sites, you get high conversion rates.
21K impressions and zero sales... seems kinda fishy. I am unfamiliar with using FB ads, could they possibly "play" the numbers. Did you managed to analyze the traffic using something like google analytics?
Hey guys, I heard it depends on what type of product that you are selling, do they charge per impression or per click?
Forget about FB ads for e-commerce projects. We've statistics for one of our social e-commerce website, you'll be amazed: 8.000.000 impressions and 12 sales. Use classic PPC instead.
Seems to be either a love/hate relationship here regarding FB. Hecky - what product were you trying to market? Does anyone have any ideas for niches that work well marketing on FB?
agree - you really have to do some targeting. at the same time, impressions don't mean much is people don't click... what's your CTR?
