    Clearly you are not following what's being asked during the process. Not accepting your current password is the reason you are trying to reset it, isn't it so? That being said, you do not need your current password for you to be able to recover your account. All you need is access to your e-mail and/or phone (if applicable).

    Yes. My email is an old Gmail acct no longer receiving emails, so I am not receiving their message. I am trying to reopen that Gmail account.

    I have tried, unsuccessfully to have my emails sent to my current Gmail account.
