Hi. I have a facebook group. It was started 5 days ago. The response has been amazing. I am doing nothing! no advertising at all! it has successfully gone viral. The page over the past 5 days has just gone up and up. As I write this, today alone it has brought in around 6000 members and is growing faster by the second. Wall posts are being posted every minute almost! I am wondering how good these stats really are? It this out of the world? Could this have potential value? I am also interested to know if it is worth holding onto this group forever? In 1 year I can only imagine what it will be on. Even in 1 month. Any advice would be great. thanks.
I guess more people were interested with joining loads of groups in facebook even myself joins most of them since I am gathering loads of people to join my farmville neighborhood...
My advice: Sell while its hot. Eventually your group might lose momentum. My applications for facebook are back and forth and I will I would have sold one of them a while ago when it was at its strongest.
I too started new group. Wonder if i can push it to 1.000.000 members. That would give me a good audience to market some products.
Mind sharing the group link here? Acquiring and Starting off with a new Group is like buying new domains. The earlier you go the better names you get. Anyways good luck on your group, sounds just too good to be true to me.
thanks for the input guys. much appreciated. (sydzapp) well it's true! u better believe it! Regarding Page rank. Are people talking pagerank on facebook? If so, how is this determined? when you type one of the keywords for my group in facebookk group search it brings mine up as No.2
It's not easy at all. Not every group goes viral. Not every group gets ALOT of members. Not EVERY group goes up by 6000+ people a day. Not every group does nothing and sits back and rides the wave. But EVERY group does have that intention.
Well it happens may be because of you have a huge friend list so when you created that group so the link of your group is visible to all your friends so if they find your group good so may be that's the reason behind this success.
