Facebook Group 9,000 Members

Hi,

I'm new here so ill just introduce myself.

My name is Stephen and i am 20 years old.

I'm usually use to advertising with my Facebook Fan pages, I recently had a group that now has 9,000 members +.

I know how to market on the fan page but i'm not quiet sure in the direction to take with the group?

Can somebody give me advice on where i should be posting in the group or creating an event or what is the best strategy to get positive results.

Its a guitar group and they will be put to a music website, so its niche ++

Hmmm, offer free content. After they go through a squeeze page.
Hit them up with a relevant Clickbank offer,
make 7+ autoresponders,

Make updates to the group.

Easy as pie.

They are going to a music website i own that runs competitions.

Its not the clickbank i'm worried about or autoresponders.

I want to know, where is the best place to post in the group?
Would it be to update the recent news or make an event??

I would first try to make the group even bigger. But then I dont know what kind of income you are aiming for.

I dont need to make the group bigger, I actually have another one same niche with 63,000 and i just gave an example with the small one.

The question:

Whats the best way to get the word out to people on your group?
Create and event, update recent news, or is there something else?

Engage them in a interesting discussion. you can also use the send message to all and send them a group topic that you think may be interesting to them. Even if you have 1,000,000 members, I bet not half of them will remember to visit the group. So the best way is to send them updates, even once a week. Post link to your wall about the group recent updates, etc.

I would suggest you to make your fan page bigger,also yes event will be good for it,and make sure you do update your group regularly ,best of luck

I can only use send message to all when group is below 5,000.
Group does not have wall.

Its not a fan page its a group.

Well once your group reaches over 5,000 members you can't message all members. So your best bet would be to do an event through the group. Then use a script to select all the members of the group(Because I don't think there's a button that's "Select All") and invite all members to the event.

I think that answered your question, because I don't think anyone else really got it.

Yes i did not even think of that but like i said " I'm new to working with facebook groups, so mabye just a macros to run down the list.

Also by script, what exactly do you mean. What i had in mind was setting a macros to do it, then wait 10 seconds when Next page is clicked and go down selecting all again

 

Well I actually haven't done this in awhile...but some time back. Firefox had an add-on called Grease Monkey. And there was a script that you could use to just select the whole list...for anything. Like inviting to a group, sending out messages, etc.
If that's not around, the Macro would work.

I'll do a quick check to see if I can find anything for you.

"Select all friends on facebook"

You'll find some good stuff..I found something but it seems that i can't post it yet.

I may be persuaded to keep these groups regularly updated, and on the come up...for a small price.

Not even...well maybe once occasionally.
But I was thinking something along the lines of...you just tell me what you're doing...and your ideas.
I implement your ideas...and you pay me a base weekly rate.

I'm just trying to make a little easy money...and I've been with facebook for 4 or 5 years...so I know the ins and outs.

 

Sorry i thought you meant that you would pay me to update them regularly... with the deal of getting to throw your own links into groups that are 60,000k plus on a very niche market

They only take 5 minutes each day to update so i don't think it would be necessary.
