So a fairly old thread still at the top. My opinion from 2012 to 2014 still has not changed. Google+ had a great start, but just isn't meant to be. At least not yet anyway. They turned off many users just by forcing people to make an account. That was enough to make me not want to continue looking at it. They have slowly been forcing all their products into it. I don't care for this.

I still prefer facebook. It's just simple to use and everyone knows it. It has a relaxed feel to it.

Can't tell you which is the best. They have outstanding point in their own. I use them all.
To connect to people I use F/B, to share my blog article - think G+ is suitable, to follow and comment to people - Twitter is good.

Can't say without looking at your website. It depends on where the people in your niche hangout. You will need to search them. If you think its Facebook, you can run Facebook ads, focus on quality posts, join Facebook groups. If it's Twitter, you can tweet with specific hashtags and follow others in your niche. If it's Google+, you can use Google+ communities, Google+ pages for your brand. It differs from brand to brand and no specific social platform is best for all businesses.

They all can be very effective if you use them correctly. Each one is different and has it's own way of doing things. For example Twitter still has plenty of people doing Follow Fridays. This still effective for Twitter but would look a little off doing this on Facebook.

You can't really say there's a best but I prefer Google+. If you use the Communities you can drive a ton of traffic even if you have a low amount of followers. There's no denying that Google + will have an impact on SEO in the future. May as well start preparing for it now!

Twitter is only for those famous people, who don't really need to interact with their fans. THey just give an FYI

Facebook is the new classic, SO MANY people are on it.

Google+ has many cool features, like the Group Chats, but it's just that not many people go on so there isn't many people to interact with.

Google+ has the best results for organic search, because it is Google. Your posts on there are indexed instantly.

Facebook has a better paid advertising then Google+

Twitter can be good for sponsored posts.

All three have pros and cons.
