Facebook Fan Page - Default Tabs?

    Hi,

I am looking for help on Facebook 'fan' pages. I have created my first page, installed the Static FBML application but I cannot find the setting to make my splash page the default tab.

Any ideas? Tutorials I've read say this is possible but my screen doesn't show this!

Sorry, please read the question. That looks like an advert. I am not after a designer. I just want someone to help me find where the default tab settings are. Or are there restrictions on this?

On the wall of your fan page, options, then settings. you will see the option there to select where people land.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will try that and get back to you once I've had chance to check the settings. I couldn't find Wall Settings at all when I last attempted this but I'll try again.

It looks like the Facebook settings on my page are different to the above.

    1) There is no "Wall Settings" option. You can go to "Edit Page" beneath the logo area. Then "Manage Permissions" where there are a few options for the wall but nothing related to default tabs.

    2) You can click "Settings" on the Wall view beneath the status box, but there is no longer a setting to add default tab!

From reading other forums it appears Facebook might have removed this. Bad move by them if this is true.

    Hi. Try this:
    1) Click on Edit Page on the main fan page.
    2) Select Manage Permissions.
    3) You will see Default Landing Page. This is where you select your splash page.

    Hope this is useful.

    Hi,

I tried that but I don't see any option for the default landing page. I only have 21 fans so far. Do you think this is why?

Having said that, I can see another fan page with 16 fans and he seems to have managed the default tab. Weird!

Hmm. I am really not sure why. You may want to check with Facebook Help Center if this is just your case. Sorry for not being able to help more.
