I must admit thatonce you have found all your friends from school etc then the novelty kinda wears off. I once got a friend request from an old school friend who I didn't really talk to at school but it was nice to catch up with them, we chatted for 30 minutes on the Facebook IM and then said goodbye, the next day I walked past them in the street and they did everything in their power to avoid eye contact and not stop to talk to me. Has anyone else experienced this? I guess some people only want to be your friend in the Virtual World?
Doesn't make much sense to me, nor does it look like Facebook is headed anywhere near that direction... FB keeps growing, unlike Myspace.
From my personal experience FB is of less importance to older age groups (40+). For them (actually I should say 'us') it was a fun for a year or two, but not anymore. At the same time, it seems that younger people (15 - 25) keep using FB as an integral part of their social life. Cheers, Sty
