Wow are you serious! I advertise on facebook all the time and have never had any problems with them. Hope you get the situation resolved!
As is apparent, the problem is not with facebook... rather it was a virus/spyware that took advantage and used CC details to subscribe to FB's service! I think it makes one learn an important lesson... to invest some amount in security programs, rather than losing a bunch in such attacks! Regards, RightMan
Totally wrong. You can get your money back if you have a good bank, regardless of your communication with Facebook. You did the right thing by disputing it with the bank. My bank has always been more than helpful for example when a vending machine charged me 3 times on my card instead of just once. Your bank will work on it and almost always will take your side. Depending on how good your bank is, I think you really have little to worry about.
This is horrible, I feel bad for you. Fraud and scams are an everyday thing though on and off the internet :\
If I were you, I will contact facebook to inform them about this problem. the soon you inform them, the situation will be good.
I think you should inform about complete matter to facebook and write an FIR about complete matter if face book says that they didnt have sent you that mail
Its really unbelievable, can facebook do that. Maybe it must be only for the US citizens. Sorry to hear that.
This happened to my father. It was $400.00. We still have not figured out how his happened and he was never able to get ahold of facebook. He just reversed the charges.
You should be covered for fraud through the card issuer, tel the card issuer that the transaction is fraudelent and you would like charge back. The bank will then ask you to sign a declaration and start the procedure for q chargeback.
Probably a frauder or a kid of your. Bought some Facebook credits. If it's kids, then for themselves, if a frauder, maybe he spent them on a fake app that collects money using his own account. Contacting Facebook about it as fast as possible would prevent a frauder from getting hold on any stolen money. I don't know how fast apps can cashout. Maybe Facebook still has the funds and can refund you and others who got their credit card/Facebook account info stolen in some way. It would be very important in that case that Facebook gets informed about it.
Wow, sorry to hear it. From Facebook? You must have a virus. It is always scary to put your card numbers out in the cyber world. Your wife must have bought something on facebook and just got hit by a hacker from random selection or something. hope it works out. scott
My friend it definitely sounds like you have some spyware on your computer and you info was stolen. My suggestion is to cancel that card and reformat you computer.Don't know what brand your computer is but it should come with a cd or if your running vista or windows 7 you can make your own format cds for free.Just to make sure everything is out of your computer meaning viruses and spyware.Hope ths help you.Sorry to hear about your situation.
