    Amazing that it was such a high number... Although it was distributed with stocks and shares as well as some cold hard cash... Facebook don't need any more contenders since G+ launched, and that's the direction Instagram were heading in! Everyone is building their life in images as now as well as text. Blogs are old news ;)

    facebook did it because millions of facebook users were giving up their facebook accounts and moving to use only instagram with their friends.

    so they bought instagram, to stop from losing millions and millions of users

    instagram had amazing rise lately

    A sound business move,it would have taken them some time to start and build one for themselves so go out and buy the best bolt on one currently on the net,it sounds like alot of money but over time it will be seen a a wise move.
