I had a question about the Facebook ads. If I were to buy say $40 of clicks on a as running over a 24 hours period. Once the 24 hour period is gone but no clicks were made does that mean that $40 credit has gone or can I change the time and extend it till its all be used up through clicks and impressions?

You can adjust your bidding amount to let your ads show if you not have received clicks the amount is still there. I'm also running ads on Facebook and noticed that they charge me 55 clicks and when I look in my stats it shows only 15 clicks.

It's really not good and my clients feel like they get cheated, I'm not sure how they measure the click or if they doing anything against click fraud. This would be an interesting issue.

Much better to advertise on google adwords. That way people are actually searching for what your advertising, and with facebook adds people may just click on your add for the sake of it which can be very frustrating!

If it is pay per click, no you will not lose your $40. You only pay for the number of clicks on the amount you bid for each click.

You should try to lower your bid for better performance of your ads. When you do it like this you will receive much more impressions.

Its something I have experienced in the past days and works very well.

Of course you can extend the period.
And sometimes it takes 24-48 hours to approve your ad.

Also try to target more specific. Example Washington and New York only, and configure the ages you would like to target.

You not want a bunch of kids clicking on your ads :) :)

I've used it for two of my businesses.

On both I got far better ROI using Facebook Ads than I ever did using AdWords.

    Hey Fleur

The answer to that is simple - do the people that your small business is trying to reach use Facebook?

It is easy (and cheap) to test it out. With a new Facebook Ads account just grab a coupon for $50 and see what results you get.

Theory is good - proof is better :D

Yes there are many coupons for Facebook available but unfortunately it only works with new accounts. You can check out the vouchers section on DP Forum there you can find great offers.
