I once had heard that it is possible to put facebook ads up to help you get fans to your page for only $0.01 - $0.05 per person who becomes a fan of your page.

How can i go about doing this? please help

I haven't really heard of people using Facebook ads to get guaranteed fans on their page for a certain price. But, with a quick Google search, you can definitely find many websites that are willing to sell guaranteed Facebook fans but the problem with that is people aren't really interested in really going to the content if they're just going to like the page to get paid.

Facebook is a great way to advertise anything. however, be very careful with it. Even with a low CPM, facebook is so huge you can get burned just leaving an ad run for an hour. You get looooooots of impressions.

Not with Facebook ads. You can pay up to a dollar per new fan with Facebook advertising. You can buy fans, but like Yugo said, they're not likely to be terribly interested in your page. I don't know of many companies that actually "pay" people to click the Like button. I tried it for a while. Huge problems with fraud. Within an hour of putting up the interface, I had about 200 people trying to throw bots at it. So I changed my delivery model. Now when people buy fans from me, I deliver them (for 3 to 8 cents each) by letting people click Like in exchange for 2 cents being donated to a cause or project they support.

I can tell you that it does go slower than the other "buy fans here" methods. But it also gives far better results. It may sound like a bad thing, but my average user only clicks Like on 42% of the pages offered, meaning they choose not to become a fan of almost 60% of the pages they could click on to raise money for their cause. It indicates that they're relatively discerning and if they do end up liking your page, they're likely to be interested in what you have to offer. By comparison, when I was paying people to click Like, they were clicking on over 98% of pages offered, meaning they didn't care what they were liking as long as they got paid.

Anyway, if you're going to resort to paying for fans, whether through advertising or through some sort of buy fans program, it would serve you well to do some research first. Facebook advertising can be effective (I use it), but it's expensive. Pay per click you're going to have to bid almost a buck. And if you pay for impressions, you'd better make sure your ad gets a high click through rate or you're going to be eaten alive.

The only other thing I can suggest is that you regularly encourage your existing fans to invite all their friends. There's javascript floating around that will let people invite everyone at once. Share that with your users. I do a great deal of work with local companies in rural areas and I have pages in towns of 400 people with almost 1000 fans, all of whom are engaged with the page (like, comment regularly, etc.). So whatever you do, make sure you build your page with quality fans.

If you want more information on my program, go to loadednachos.com. Good luck!

I haven't ever heard of this thing!! And I don't think it is exsist because I don't think that facebook needs us to make our page's full of people. It's us who may benefit from it, not facebook!!
But wait for others, you may get help in it.

You pay per impression. I did an add once and got 2 cents per thousand impressions. You just have to pick the right keywords.

That's the key. But again, if you don't get a high click through rate even at 2 cents per thousand impressions, you can run out of money pretty fast. When I run ads on Facebook, I get tens of thousands of impressions the first hour. Then the fun begins. Either they kick up the frequency if their system decides it's making them good money or they just simply stop the ad if it's "underperforming" from their standpoint.

There's something else I've noticed about them lately. Their system, at least recently, really appears to be geared toward those with substantial ad budgets. I keep finding my ads dead in the water and I have bids of a buck a click and a spend of $500 a day. They'll run for a little while, but when my click through rate comes in at way under 1% (I word my ads so they're pretty carefully targeted to avoid too many "wasted" clicks), they shut it down and replace it with other ads. So I suspect that unless you have a really high budget and are willing to bid a whole lot, you're not going to get a whole lot of success out of the Facebook ad system.

You used to be able to get promotion codes pretty much anywhere. Any time you signed up with a hosting service, bought a domain, etc. you'd be able to get a promo code. They've cut way back. Even the Visa Business Network, who used to give out $100 codes, doesn't have them anymore.

Facebook is a good way to advertise however, keep in mind that this is not very targeted traffic. Facebook will put your ad in a page that relavant to your ad. So, if your selling running shoes, they might put your ad where people like to run or like sports. Unlike Google, the traffic is super targeted where people actually searching for something and actually type in the keyword. So, bottom line is google is still better.

I agree that Google is better where people actually type in "running shoes" but can't you target your ads pretty well on Facebook based on the users interest, geographical location etc. etc. and therefore narrow it down pretty well and recieve a ROI on the ads?
